Damn the healthy diet. This is the high-carb, high-fat, high-sugar pendant to the previous post.

Like the vegetable, these assets were scanned using Agisoft Photoscan.

I used a turntable for all of these, a Sony A7 full frame camera with a prime 50mm lens, and four photographic soft boxes that give me absolutely flat lighting and virtually no shadows. I also use a tent to get rid of any problematic background. Top and underside of all assets are scanned separately and reconciled together in Agisoft (which is generally when things go wrong if you don’t have really flat lighting and you don’t pay attention to the orientation of your object). I’d say success rates on these has been about 50%, which makes it a pretty protracted exercise.

These are now available in the warehouse, complete with 4K textures (except the baklavas, which also don’t have scanned undersides). I’ve also lowered the price of the vegetable pack to align it with the price of other scanned food items in the warehouse. I’ll upload a mega pack with all assets together at a discount whenever I get a chance.

  1. … unbelievable … 🙂 how long did it takes you to make one model from the first shot to the finished mesh with texture map in photoscan? The models above must be a full time job of one week (minimum)!
