3D World CG Awards 2011

Something amazing came out of the blue today. The website for 3D World’s inaugural CG Awards went live and it turns out my Tribeca Loft image had been selected among the six nominees for the architectural stills category, the only still images category. I’m over the moon, especially since I’m sharing the shortlist with people whose work I’ve long admired, including Peter Guthrie (with an image from the series I featured in my last post) and the Vyonix, Renderare, Meshroom and State of Art studios. This nomination is a great honour. The awards, which will be unveiled in November, give anyone a chance to vote so make sure you visit the site when you have a minute.

  3. As much as I absolutely love Peter Guthrie’s “Twins” images, there is something very special about yours. You got my vote, and congratulations on being nominated.

That’s good news Bertrand, absolutely well deserved. Hard to choose really, you and Peter are the two viz artists I admire the most, not only for your work but also for your generosity. It’s such a pleasure to read your blogs and learn from you.

PS: what about that surprise you told us about a few weeks ago? ;)
